Saint Thyagaraja in his Prahalada Bhakti Vijayam included a song " Vanadanamu Raghu Nandana" in Sahana raga, one of the gems of the Carnatic ragas. The song is intended as a prayer from Prahalada to Sri Rama even though Rama Avatar happens much later. For Thygaraja Rama is God. So he imagines that Prahalada is praying to Sri Rama. One can listen to the rendition of this song by Sri T.N. Seshagopalan at

Here is an Humble offering to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba modeled on "Vandanamu Raghunanadana" as we are pretty close to his 2nd Mahasamadhi Aradhana on 24th Apri 2013. I have included the audio below. I am sure someone with good carnatic background would have rendered much better. With due apologies to carnatic rasikas , my request is to bear with my voice and even it may not resemble Sahana. I would welcome anyone to sing it properly with accompaniments and send an mp3 to me.
